Brain trust, I have a window contact sensor that has caused my Konneted alarm to set off twice. Looking at the event log, the window sensor (actually 4 in series) is open then closing many times per minuts. See below:
Is this a wiring issue (the wires haven't been moved since the install) or a konnected board issue? Any help is much appreciated. Thanks!
If this is a battery powered device you might consider changing them. (Guessing not)
One way to check the device is to place a strong magnet next to the sensor and see if it stablizes.
Your existing magnetic connection may be borderline on the 2 parts of your sensor, try moving them closer together to see if the toggling stops. Or use another magnet to see if the sensors magnetism has failed-unlikely though. Try moving the sensor cables to or swapping with another connection point on the Konnected board-a known good one being preferable. This will tell you if the fault is with the board or the cabling/sensor. Just follow a process of elimination.
