If I do a search on “hub mesh child devices” I get a sensible set of results as shown below.
When I click on “More” the returned list is much less meaningful than the original list. Also, it seems to favor release notes over any other result, pushing all the best fitting results from the top of the list into obscurity.
Surely this is not how it should work!
+1 for that suggestion. Try sorting by relevance instead.
Additionally, you can use the various options in the advanced filters area (click the arrowhead to expand) to further tailor your search results.
But that is a little bit my point. When the interface says “More” it should mean the same results and More. What it was returning is a different list in a different order, unless you have previously set your Sort By preference to Relevance.
But that is not very logical either because the sort order preference was ignored in the first set of search results and it always seems to default to Relevance for the initial sort.
I believe Relevance is the default, in other words if someone signed up with a new account they would get Relevance.
Are you sure you didn't change it to Most Liked at any point? I truthfully didn't even know that was an option until I spotted it in your screenshot.
I probably did. But when I get a list and select more it should keep the same sort order. I understand why it doesn’t, I just don’t think that is the most intuitive.
I suspect the forum software isn't that smart. It is probably just giving you what you asked it to do at some point, and it doesn't flip back to the default when initiating a new search.
This is a good example of where AI could probably help. But I don't think we are there yet.
