Yea, then you migrate, shut down the old hub, and reuse the reservation for the new hub. You are overly complicating it.
Register the Pro hub and see if you can migrate.

That was one of the things I pointed out as a suggestion.
Yes, cloud access to get the cloud backups will only be granted to the Hub once the hub is registered.
That is exactly what I did. I shutdown the C8, removed the reservation, then I went to the Pro entry, and added the reservation by typing in the IP of the C8. I shutdown the Pro, rebooted the router, and booted up the Pro which came back up with the IP of the old hub.

As long as the old hub is off and your new reservation matches the ip of the old you should be fine.

If you read the instructions, all your wifi devices and apps should have been disabled.
Webcore specifically needs every child app Piston disabled under Apps, not just the main app. That is the only thing that burned me on my C7-C8 migration, as none of my pistons worked after so I had to restore them from a backup because I didn't pause them individually.
