Anyone else seeing issues with older Chromecast devices? Apparently Google "broke them"...
I haven't noticed anything and I still have a couple of the original Google Homes (looks like a giant air freshener), several gen 1 minis, and a mix of gen 1 & gen 2 display devices.
Unless they broke them last night or today. I haven't been home.
It sounds like a certificate has expired. Some reports say that it could take up to a week to resolve.

I have an older Lenovo Smart Clock with the Google Assistant that works as a Chromecast device and it is functioning normally.
All my chromecast audio and chromecast 2nd generation fail.
I just read an article that said this is a 2nd Gen Chromecast and Chromecast audio issue. Google is aware and working on a fix.
They are also warning users to NOT RESET THE DEVICE.

Based on an email from Google and my own experience, it appears the issue with the older devices has now been resolved.
