Cheap Fixes

Perhaps I should say, "Simple".

I have three Zigbee bulbs (INNR) that insist on dimming to barely visible when powered on. They are paired via a Hue hub and linked to my C7. I couldn't find, can't think of the reason. So I wrote three simple rules: "when x turns on, set x to level 100".

I am curious. Are there others here who resort to these effective but unsatisfying techniques?

I usually simply set the dim level of the bulb to the desired level to turn it on, instead of issuing an β€œon” command. This avoids this issue altogether for me.

Sometimes I write custom drivers to manage these issues so I don't have to in apps.

Ah, I never thought of that. I've been "doing" Hubitat for about two years now and I have to wonder how many other neat things I have overlooked.

What fun!

I love the innr bulbs. Replaced most of my sengled with them. They have been very reliable for me.
To your question, you can also set the brightness in the devices page.
Personally, I usually just use them as dimmers. Rather than turning it on, I just have the rule set the (dimmer) to x value. Then again we rarely use anything greater than 50%.

Having a light turn in and immediately dim to 1 or 2 percent would make my wife very happy.

All My lights turn on to a dimmer level that's set depending on how bright it is outside.
