Changing my userxxx username

I am not sure where to put this post, so I am putting it here in the lounge. @danabw mailed me and mentioned that I can actually still get a custom username even though it has been years now that I have been user2574 (created before I even moved over to Hubitat).

So I am tagging support here with @support_team, requesting to have my generic username user2574 to be changed to chrisbvt. Thanks in advance if this is possible!

Edit: @danabw pointed me to this post, for reference

This is do-able, but if you care about some of the badge stats and things (keeping track of how many people clicked a link you copied with your old username, for example), it won't catch those [EDIT: meaning, will no longer count new clicks on ones created with the old username -- anything already coutned would stay ... I think]. Asking first because some people might.

Had not heard this, thanks for sharing this info...

Ah, good to know, thanks. I should have created a new account long ago, but now I've just been keeping it for the sake of my history and that badge stuff.

What does it keep? I was hoping for something more global that just changed everything everywhere, but that is probably a reach compared to what has actually been implemented for username changes.

That specific thing wouldn't matter much for me

Everything else AFAIK (and again really including this aside from not being able to associate old links).

Nice! I'm good to go then whenever @bobbyD @support_team, thanks.

No rush on my end.

chrisbvt - AKA user2574.

Done!
