I have a Kwikset 99140-008 SmartCode 914, nothing special, standard internal drivers. The lock is ROCK solid, never have a problem with it. I think the Zigbee version is hands down better then my other Kwikset Z-Wave lock.
but with that being said, when I replace the batteries of the unit, it does not work until I reboot my Hubitat. not a big deal, but annoying. With that being said, do I just need to wait a bit longer perhaps?
That is odd, but I have limited experience with Zigbee. Just a handful of motion sensors that don't give me any gripes. I'm sure someone more knowledgeable than me in that area will chime in though.
When you say the lock doesn't work, what specifically doesn't work? Rules that use the lock are no longer able to manipulate it? The lock no longer reports events? It is no longer controllable from the devices page?
it no longer responds to commands, does not report status, etc. once I reboot the hub, all is well.. it only happens when I change the battery, otherwise Rock solid.
That's very weird... but I did manage to find this online. It doesn't quite match your symptoms since in this case the lock still works, it just doesn't report in... but might be worth a shot.
