Change Amazon account on Amazon Echo skill

Amazon doesn't like "house" accounts instead of using your personal account (but I have multiple homes) so the account got locked out and I can't recover it with their support :frowning:

I have created a new Amazon account to use but I can't change to this account in Hubitat. Removing the integration and re-adding it just goes back to the locked out Amazon account.

How do I remove this Amazon credential without access to the Amazon side?

Please follow the instructions in the Hubitat documentation. Briefly:

  1. On the Hubitat side, remove the Amazon Echo skill
  2. Remove the Hubitat skill from the Amazon Echo mobile app, then log out of the Amazon Echo mobile app.
  3. Login to the Alexa mobile app using your new Amazon account.
  4. Add the Hubitat skill in the Alexa mobile app, and follow the instructions.

I can't do step 2 if I am locked out of the existing Amazon account

You don’t need to delete the skill. Just sign out of the Alexa mobile app. And you do not need access to the locked out account to sign out.

Then proceed with step 3.
