Glad we are keeping politics out of this topic.... . Admittedly a hard ask ATM... Perhaps we should allow 10% of posts to be political
Nothing about that image says wearing thongs (flip-flops) is ok...
Ok, I'll join in, as much as I agree with keeping this a-political... Happy to remove it later,,, But it is a pretty "silly" situation...
Be part of the 1%, have a bouncy castle.
How many youngsters got their start in parts assembly in a factory? There is nothing wrong with factory work and look how clean factories are today compared to the 70s and 80s. I clerked in a real factory while I was in college and saw the hard work many endured but they also had the respect of earning a good wage and the people that worked with then on their shift.
Have you met Gen Z? Most of them need a cup of concrete and a reality check!
Personally, I have no objection to working in a factory, I applied to work in the local GM factory in the 90’s while I was trying to figure out what I wanted to do. I’m not sure why I was rejected, maybe studying electronics and IT meant they didn’t think I’d stick at it.
Oh yes society has put into their brains that the only work they should go for is something in a office after college where your degree doesn't matter. I think Germany has it right only the qualified should go to college and the rest learn trades. There is nothing wrong with a trade. I still do gig work with HVAC once in a great while I am glad I tagged along with the electrician that worked a second job at the local HVAC shop when I worked at the factory.
I feel like this has been posted before...
So I'll post this somewhat innapropriate alternative....
I'm sure the inadequacy of the likely male dominated "badies" offsets the sexism.... Doesn't it?
We may be in a turning point where we can use our outdoor grill. So I am publishing the approved meat doneness scale:
I have to disagree... There's no black in there before McDonald's.... Well done is still a valid and tasty option.
