Oh I wish...my mom always loved my wife more than me. When my wife and I had been dating for a while I told my mom that I wasn't sure if she was the right person for me.
Two days later I get a letter from her (she lived 15m away but never took up w/computers) that basically said, in a very nice way, that if I didn't marry my GF I was an idiot. 
Took her advice and happy ever after, so I guess she knew what she was talking about.
