Street parking in Chicago is a nightmare in winter. My friend has two building as rentals and the city will come though and plow all the snow into his tenants parking spaces. And then he has to plow the snow to where? There is no place other than to push it back into the street in the middle of the night.

This isn’t really a thing in NYC, afaik.
If it was, there’d be a lot of crushed chairs and ironing boards underneath parked cars after a big snow…

Some places in Chicago the crushed ironing boards would be met by something between a buried by snow car and slashed tires.
