Yeah, I hate it too, hence the beard. I got a Philips OneBlade electric shaver recently to trim the neck area, as that is the only part I hate to left unshaven. I'm just not keen on the neanderthal look. ![]()
Last time I shaved off the beard, I was "advised" by my wife to grow it back asap. I have a baby face without one. It does have it benefits tho, My wife didn't realise I was 7 years older than her until we'd been dating for 6 months! ![]()

A friend is talking about that...but I'm not quite ready to go to that extent. Looking forward to hearing about your experience.
I think I mentioned this before in another thread.
It was 2016 for me with HP; 24 years of service with SHL/MCI/Worldcom/EDS/HP (the joke was we worked for 4 or 5 different companies and never changed desks).
At the time it was a kick to the gut, but it eventually turned out to be a blessing in disguise.
I truly hope things work out well for you.
Thanks mate. I’m optimistic as there really wasn’t anywhere to go for me career wise, at least that i was interested in. I built my function from scratch, so I’m confident that will make me an attractive hire for other orgs wanting to do something similar.
Nailed it!
I worked with some folks that were MCI/Worldcom/Verizon/EDS/HP.
I migrated all the old standalone MCI/Worldcom and Verizon AS/400's onto new Verizon shared platforms when they acquired the others. Want to say it was 2008?
I also worked on the internal SAP systems' migrations when Agilent split from HP and again when Keysight and Agilent split. Fun times.
In 2010+ I had server engineers working for me on both EDS and HP employment contracts, it was pretty messy.

In the early 2K's my wife went Brooks/Worldcom/MCI jumped right before it imploded, went to Adelphia, Jumped right before that imploded, and to Waste Management right AFTER it imploded. Was kind like watching Frogger in real life!
