trying to do initial set up on my new HE and I can't find it in the portal with quick search or in advanced search when using either the MAC address of its IP address (found using arp -a).

I have it connected to the LAN via a switch. i see a lot of notes saying connect to router in directions but all ports are used on it. is this the issue?

Should i send back to amazon and get new hardware?

do you have a guest network? Make sure the HE and the computer to access it are on the same lan, either both on guest LAN or both on home LAN.

What are the IP addresses of the computer and the address of the HE
