Cannot receive verification code email on gmail

I purchased Hubitat and cannot login or register it because verification code emails cannot be received in gmail. They are sent from Hubitat dot com - and this email server is not setup correctly. Email messages from this domain fail DMARC which means they will often get identified as insecure, and get blocked and quarantined. Gmail is doing this and there is no way to get the emails. They are not making it to spam folder at all.

The problem is on Hubitat side side. I can see other people complaining about it online.

I have purchased this product from you and have no way to register it or login!!

Just tagging @support_team for you.

Thanks for your feedback. We have seen an uptick in the number of incidents related to the verification emails lately, but it's rare when it happens on Gmail accounts. We use Amazon Cognito service (for account management) and based on our research, this is not a widespread issue. When you have a chance, could you please create a case by visiting below page (or send me a private message with your email account) and we will verify the account for you.

How do you know this is true?

Thank you for asking that.

I successfully receive email from the domain β€œhubitat.com” all the time, and I use Gmail. So that claim has me puzzled.

i tried to embed a screenshot of the header parsed by gmail as proof that DMARC fails on the verification email, but it seems I cannot upload media?

I received one email, and after that they get blocked. I am not saying all emails from Hubitat dot com fail, but these ones coming from the verification service definitely fail.

I created a warranty ticket 3 days ago. It was verified at first and then I get no response now for 2 days.

Hoping someone in the community can help as Hubitat isn’t.

Strange, I use gmail and I've never missed any emails from hubitat be it verification, community, or private...

Join the hub owners group and that restriction will be lifted.

I've registered 3 C8 hubs in the past 2 months through 2 gmail.com addresses. Each time it has landed in the "spam" folder just to report my experience which surprised me. In your case you're not even getting it in the spam folder? Bummer.

Community emails I haven't had any issues with thankfully. Those are the more important ones for me :).
