I believe everyone has written how well these are integrate-able directly in HE. I believe all of you. So, I opened the Hue App, deleted them, removed them from the Alex device list. Then factory reset (long setup button press) ... then I get the lovely blinking Orange.....
I've tried all the discovery options, none allow HE to discover the Motion Sensors.
Random silly thoughts ....
Unplug all the HUE Hubs I have to prevent the use case Hue Hub grabs the "initialization sequence" first ?
Hue Oid an OTA push a few months back and my motion sensors and wall switches "got smarter" according to hue, by simply adding in "time based" actions. So the motion sensors now have configurable time slots for different behavior.
Did that OTA push break the Zigbee compliance for these guys ?
Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.......
Other than that.... all 72 bulbs, 32 rooms, 5 areas/zones/rooms across three Hue Hubs.... integrated very nicely into HE.
Welcome and sorry for your troubles. It' so frustrating when something works for others but not yourself. Having said that, I do have a number of the indoor ones in use. I've had them for years, I'm pretty sure there's a newer model out there. Not sure if it will help you but I paired mine by just using add device, start zigbee pairing. I think I checked for updated firmware last year so I don't know if I'm on the latest. Mine is 100B-010D480049E0. I just re-paired these about a month ago. FYI, I'm on a C-7, latest release. I've seen more than a few posts about adding them to the C-8.
Here's a long shot, works for me with C7. Shutdown the hub, once webpage tells your hub is shutdown, remove power from the hub for about a minute, this will reset the zigbee radio. Reboot and start pairing as soon as the hub comes up.
BTW I did read about others having problems with the newest Hue motion sensors, you can search.
Mine that work well are model 9290012607, which are the older ones?
Awesome, always glad to help, as I'm too familiar with that sinking feeling when stuff doesn't work.
I've added a hue downlight to my zigbee mesh, and that thing is one heck of a router, it has about 20 devices routing through it.
Beware the hue v2 button controller/dimmer. I could never get more than one on the same hub to work properly. The one I do have paired to my c7 is very good, only falls off maybe 1-2x per year, which I can deal with.
