Cannot connect Yale Lock YRD 226 to my hub

Hi all, I got a new Hubitat hub after my other one was defunct on arrival - this one is a C-8 pro. I am trying to connect it to a Yale YRD 226 (YRD226-ZW3-619). It is a brand new hub and brand new lock so not previously paired with anything. I tried excluding it first, which also did not work (the lock beeped twice and timed out before the Hub ever found anything). I factory reset the lock, and still no luck adding it. I have a repeater in a nearby room which was enough for my prior older Schlage lock to be findable, so not sure it's that either.. any ideas? Thanks in advance!

Did you add this repeater to your new hub, or do you have two in operation?

Locks have difficult time including through repeaters. If possible, try including the lock closer to the hub to improve your chances of success. As you may already know, it’s important to first exclude the lock successfully to avoid creating “ghost” nodes, which can cause additional issues during inclusion. Please continue attempting exclusion until it completes successfully before trying to include the device again.

Hi all, thanks for trying to help. I tried to include the lock as close as possible to the hub, but I cannot move it any closer. And I did try to exclude the lock as well, but this didn't work too well either, it often just beeped a few times and then shut off, which makes me think it's not picking it up at all? and @bertabcd1234 I added the repeater to my new hub to try to extend the network to reach the door so that I could include the lock

I used a long Ethernet cable to move my C-7 closer to some location-fixed devices in order to pair picky devices. I think you can skip the cable and just connect your C-8 Pro to your network with WiF and move it close to devices temporarily. Avoid repeaters.

Yale does have an interchangeable module that can be several different protocols.
Maybe they put the wrong module in your lock?

z-wave modules are green. Going on fading memory, WiFi is white and Zigbee Black.

There's been a few.

first Gen
Z-Wave Green
ZigBee Red
Nest/August White
Homekit Orange

2nd Gen same but different (Solid vs translucent)

3rd Gen...black :person_shrugging:

Update... the module is definitely green, so should be z-wave.. it took many attempts, but connecting the C-8 pro to wifi then moving it physically next to the lock worked!! So now if I move it back to the ethernet connection farther away from the lock, will updates/connection to the lock still work?? Thanks for all your help everyone!
