Cannot add virtual switches as Starters in google home routine

My scenario - My light sensor picks up afternoon time, then flips on a virtual switch vSwitchGH.

that virtual switch has been imported into google home. I can see it under devices. Can control vSwitchGH via google home. So the connection is fine.

Problem is i now want to use vSwitchGH as the trigger to shut my blinds. The 5 blinds are available in google home to control.

I try to create a household routine but i cannot add the vSwitchGH as a starter. What am I missing?

I checked out this post Google Home integration for Dummies?

dont know how they got their switches as a Starter. I cannot.

Is the switch been added to a home in GH?

With the Echo devices, I need to use a virtual presence, motion or contact sensor with switch as the driver for the virtual device for this to work. Perhaps the same is required in Google Home?

Ok read this post and it worked

had to add the switch to a room. You get to add to room when you add to a Home.

Once added to a room, then the switch showed up as a starter! YAYY!!
