Can’t configure association groups inovelli VZW31-SN Red 2 in 1

Currently running firmware 1.02 and the driver “2024-10-22” with hubitat in LR mode. If i set an attempt to set association group 2 or 3 i get an error that 2 is above the max association group of 1.

Error:
Association group is invalid 1 <= 2 <= 1

Any suggestions?

Do you mean the switch was included in LR mode? If so, device-to-device Z-Wave Association does not work, given that LR topology only gives it a path to the hub. You'll have to create an automation on the hub or exclude and re-include classically if you want to do this.

Indeed that is what I meant. Thanks so much for the information! I suspected that might be the case, but failed to find it in docs till just now. That is annoying, but oh well.

In case anyone else runs into this here is the docs to support @bertabcd1234 statement

A Z-Wave Long Range node must only support the Lifeline Association group and it is only allowed to define one node ID, typically configured to the gateway destination.

FWIW, it's in our docs too. :slight_smile:
