Can someone verify the C-7 hub charges with a USB-C connection

The power connector is micro USB, not USB-C.

It should be noted that if your UPS has a USB-C port, there's still no reason you couldn't use a USB-C to Micro-USB cable to power the hub. The hub isn't USB-C PD (as the UPS might be, at least if it advertises itself as working with USB-C/TB3 laptops) but as far as I know, all of those should default to standard 5V USB charging if nothing fancier is negotiated.

Thanks, however my UPS is homebrew, currently it has the power plugs used in the C4 hub. Tis easy to change to µUSB.
