Can I mimic a govee light strip with a custom ESP32 light strip?

Hi all
In the near future I will be setting up a gaming room for my kids. My plan is to have one of the Govee TV backlight/camera systems (not using a syncbox as they may watch an integrated app in the TV which wouldn't work then). I also want LED strips at various places around the room. Govee strips are much more expensive than a custom made one (ESP32/WLED) but the question is whether I could get them mirroring the light colours that are coming out the govee system? I've never used govee or the integration before so not sure on if this is possible. I'm also worried that would overload the HE hub due to the amount of comms needed.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
Alan

check out Hyperion (https://hyperion-project.org/). i believe it has a tie in to WLED, but haven't checked in a while so not 100% sure

This guy does a lot of work with Govee lights and WLED and shows how you can cut the Govee controller to use a WLED controller and then go back.

I want to switch to WLED control of my Govee Permanent Outdoor Lights BUT I am nervous I might screw something up and have to climb back out on roof to take them down and install a new set.

If you haven't already bought the Govee TV Backlight system, the Hyperion option that @dadarkgtprince is AWESOME! I have it around my home theater screen and it makes a huge difference. To confirm prince's comment, the LEDs run using WLED in the Hyperion system but you can open the URL GUI of your controlling device and override Hyperion temporarily if you want to use the LEDs for something else when not watching the TV. If you are using internal apps on the TV, you will need to make sure that your TV has an output that can be sent to a capture device though.

WLED has a Sync option so you could sync other strips to the one around the TV if you use Hyperion. I am considering running some mood lights under my couches in home theater that will then sync with ones around the screen when movie starts.

Thanks for the replies

"check out Hyperion (https://hyperion-project.org/ 3)."

Thanks but that only works through a sync box and won't cover instances when watching streaming services on the TV. Otherwise, looks awesome.

I still want use of govee, not cut them out. I just want them to sync
