I’m having an issue with on z wave dimmer excluding and including as it it is the furthest point from the hub
I was going to get a 65 ft Ethernet cable but before I do that would a wifi extender w an Ethernet port worth trying ? I have one

If you mean some sort of wifi-ethernet bridge where you can take an ethernet connection from HE and plug it into this thing, which then creates a wifi bridge back to the router... yes, no reason why it wouldn't work. Not sure I would want to leave it that way full time, but temporarily it should work just fine.
