Can a device work with both Hubitat and Ring simultaneously?

Hello,

Newbie to home automation, so apologies if this is a bonehead question.

I have a Ring Alarm system, which I prefer to continue using for home security (for now anyways). In my Ring system, I've also connected some z-wave devices, such as my door lock.

Is it possible for my door lock to continue to work with Ring, while at the same time controlling or reading it with my Hubitat? For example, I'd like to set Hubitat mode to "Away" when the door is locked.
