Camera on the Dashboard

I just installed a camera on the dashboard using a refreshed image at every 5 seconds. Works Fine.
I now realized that when I am out of the home and away with my phone and using the Dashboard app, the image on the tile is just not there.

How could this work remotely?

In order to make mine work, I have to VPN into my house. With the VPN active, the camera tile updates.

If the image is hosted on your local network (not accessible remotely), then a VPN solution will work.

If the image is hosted on a network link that is accessible outside your network, then it should work externally.
