Cabinet light turns on with fridge (occasionally)

Have an odd issue and wonder if anyone has any ideas. I have an undercabinet light (strip LEDs) that is zigbee, and occasionally I’ll find it on in the morning.

It’s plugged into same outlet as my fridge, so I think the fridge might be drawing just a little too much occasionally and causing the light to default on. Or… the hub is doing some type of maintenance on zigbee mesh and turning it on? (There’s no logging indicating it was ever told to turn on). But house guest says it turned on right around the time of the cloud backup for my hub.

Light is a sylvania led strip light.

Any advice would be great. Sounds like it may have woke up my house guest, so would be good to find solution! Hub is a c-8 (non-pro) running latest HE.

Thanks!

I have several of these in use and have not run into your issue. I have had the Zigbee radio module fail on one strip. Fortunately I had a spare.

Sounds like Alexa 'hunches' possibly at work again, check they are disabled if you use Alexa.

That would have shown in the logs for the device, no? as in, Alexa skill turned on the device. (I did turn off hunches after the first time tho)

Just happened again this morning randomly. Going to pull fridge out and check wiring... maybe something's loose. Or just give the light a good reboot.

I find this from time to time, same sylvania flex LED strip and other Sylvania Zigbee bulbs. The one time it was my Aqara Opple 6 button remote. When remote loses its pairing the top button acts as a super Zigbee shotgun blast "on" for every freaking Zigbee bulb. The many other times I have no explanation, logs & events are empty. Started when I moved to the C8 pro.

It might if Alexa sent the command through Hubitat. On the other hand, if Alexa is talking directly to your device, nothing will appear in the logs. I have been pulling my hair out with Alexa lately.
Sometimes, she works, sometimes not, on the same devices.

it's not talking direct... I don't have any Zigbee echo devices and I don't have a sylvania hub, so no way for Alexa to do it direct. =)
