C8 vs C5 Hardware Question

I haven’t upgraded from my C7 to a C8 yet, but I would disagree with the observation that there have been widespread complaints about IP network connectivity to warrant calling it a trend. Perhaps if one is referring only to WiFi connectivity?

Zigbee issues for some users, as @danabw mentioned, yes. That’s clear enough for anyone that’s been following along recently.
