C8 MAC address changed after C8 migration?

My Ubiquiti topology map previously showed my new C8 hub at IP 10.1.1.25 which I made static for MAC address 34:E1:D1:81:9C:1A which matches the label on the C8 bottom. After migration, and reboot, Ubuiquiti now shows the Hubitat IP at 10.1.1.26 and shows a new MAC address of 10:bb:f3:9d:b1:b1 [Hunan Fn-Link Technology Limited] while the hub itself shows the same 10.1.1.26 IP and the proper MAC in settings/Network Setup and Hub Details respectively.

Any explanation why Ubuiqiti shows a Hunan MAC now and why it did not keep the .25 address I made static for the original MAC? New MAC is not the MAC of my old C7 that I migrated from. My old C7 was powered down and unplugged. New C8 migration works fine though I only had a couple devices on the previous C7 that was minimally setup new in my new home.

I am running via WI-FI.

Weird Ubiquiti sees that new MAC and the old MAC did not map to the static .25 address!

Thx, Dave

Have you always run over WiFi, or did you used an Ethernet connection during the setup?

If you switched from ethernet to WiFi (or vice versa) that would explain it, each has its own Mac address.

I had to start w/ ethernet given the raw hub did not have my SSID or credentials. Then setup wi-fi and disabled ethernet.

Thx! Did not notice or even look for a MAC change between setting up wi-fi and restoring the migration backup. And now that I think more clearly about it, I remember the MAC is tied to the ethernet device not the main device.
