I "Cut the Cord" with Xfinity and just retained their Internet service and they sent me their latest 3 band router. It's a long and frustrating story but I haven't been able to split the bands and rename each band yet. Evidently its going to take 24-48 hours until I can make the change.
Anyway it has 4 Ethernet ports vs the 2 I had so I can direct connect my C-8. I connected , reserved and IP Address and fixed all my links on my phone computer et al .. Anything else I have to do?
Assuming you mean on the router, that is the right way to go.
Go to the hub’s WiFi settings and “disconnect WiFi.”
Any time you need more ethernet ports, simply add a switch. Honestly if you can get it, switch to verizon fios. You'll be happier. As to additional things, make a reservation for ANY lan based integrations to hubitat.

Under Network Settings- Wi-Fi settings there isn't an option for disconnect as its not connected .. it still the list the old Wi-Fi name and that doesn't exist
So I assume I'm fine
AFAIK Wi-Fi is supposed to gracefully get out of the way when Ethernet is connected. I think you should be OK. Bottom line is if the hub shows up using the expected reserved IP on your router and you can access the hub, you're good.
