Does anybody know of a more versatile joint to give me more positions to adjust such as the hub being fitted vertically and the aerials also vertical
The simplest way to achieve this with the existing antennas is to mount the hub vertically with the RP-SMA connectors pointed toward the left or the right. Then you can have one antenna pointed up and the other pointed down. I believe @csteele has posted photos of one of his hubs mounted in this orientation.
If you want the RP-SMA connectors pointed up, then the simplest thing would be to use replacement antennas, and there are several threads with recommended replacements.
