Those are zigbee bulbs, so it should be possible to pair them to your Hubitat hub.
You do need to pair one at a time.
If they’re in a garage then distance isn’t the only consideration. The number of walls (and what’s inside the walls) could also be a factor that reduces the effective range.
Can you describe in more detail what’s happening when you attempt to pair the bulbs?
One quick way to try to check if it’s an issue of signal strength to/from the garage would be to temporarily pair a bulb much closer to the hub to see whether that does the trick.
I appreciate your response a lot. So there are no walls between the C8 and the ikea lights. They’re visible on plain sight in a straight line. I dont even have cars there yet!
So what I’m doing is the following:
I turn on and off the light switch 6 times, setting the ikea lights in pairing mode (lights start kind of blinking)
I click on add device. I do this via web browser on the UI. I have tried clicking on Zigbee alone and also looking for Ikea Bulbs.
It starts searching, but doesnt find anything. Oddly!
I have paired other devices without issues, for example Sonoff motion sensor, ikea speaker, and so on. Its just with them lights that nothing is found.
Ok so for starters, I just re-read that I have to pair them one by one. That’s probably the reason I’m failing, as I an trying to pair all 12 in one go.
Would it be feasible if I bring the lights down, pair them bear the C8, unplug them and plug them back on the ceiling where they’re meant to go?
So I unplug from ceiling, plug on ground, pair, unplug on ground, plug on ceiling.
