C7 won't boot after soft reset with database rebuild

Tried to do soft reset with the new feature rebuild database checked (first time I've seen that, was having issues, so figured i tried it - big mistake). After about 30 mins, still couldn't couldn't connect, so had to unplug it

Now the until won't connect. Get blue light on the box. Have tried unplugging the box, waiting 30 seconds, and repowering. No luck. Any suggestions?

Can you get to :
hubip:8081

Like : http://192.168.50.126:8081

try a reset from there ?

how do i get to that hubip:8081? i don't know what the IP address is of my unit.

when i try to login to the hub from hubitat dot com, it says the address is 10.0.0.56

Ummm thats weird .. how do you get to the main page to add devices and stuff ?
try : http://10.0.0.56:8081

or this : My Hubitat

Sorry, probably not explaining this right. Usually I do go to the link you have provided (at hubitat dot com) and find my hub and push that button, which brings me to a direct login to 10.0.0.56 and that would bring me to the main page to add devices.

I can't get to that page now. It just times out - prob why my unit has a blue light vs. green light.

10.0.0.x:8081 also does not work.

Any ideas?

Well ...
you may have to un-plug the power for 10-20 minutes
then try again .. also there is a small reset button on the bottom of the hub to reset the network.
could try that .. you need to get to : http://YOUR_HUB_IP:8081
you need to use the full / type : http://YOUR_HUB_IP:8081

take a look here ..

If you are accidentally blocked from accessing your hub (e.g., due to a misconfigured static IP address) or want to revert hub network settings to default for any reason:

  1. Turn the hub over and locate the recessed round button just beneath the surface of the case (pictured below).
Hub reset button, located on bottom of hub models C-5 and later
  2. Use the point of a pen (or other small, blunt object) to press and hold this button for at least 7 seconds.
  3. When the LED on the front of the hub blinks, release the button. The hub will begin rebooting and turn blue after a few seconds. After a few minutes, the LED should return to green, at which point the hub has finished rebooting and should again be accessible.

Remove the hub id and mac..... unless you want to be hacked in the future

Blue light means the main hub platform didn't load, but the hub should still be accessible via the Diagnostic Tools at HubIPAddress:8081

You should just need to determine what IP address the hub is getting via DHCP from your router. You can determine that if you know how to log into your router and view IP address assignments. The IP address that is assigned to your hubs MAC address will be the IP you need to access the Diagnostic tool.

Doing the Network Reset on the hub will remove any manual IP assignments or other changes and should allow your router to assign and IP address to your hub that you can access.

Ok - thanks for the tips. deleted the hubid and mac addr in my previous post (thx!). Unplugged for a couple of hours and plugged back in, but still just blue light.

I reset the IP address by using the network reset button, logged into my router and found the new IP address of the C7. Logged into the hub successfully using the IP address (thanks!)

Confirmed that it was stuck:
Initializing Hub: 15% - updating database
If you are seeing this screen for an extended period of time, please check the [troubleshooting tips]

Logged into the diagnostic tool, downloaded recent backups, and did a soft reset, restored from backup.

WORKED! Thank-you all
