I am migrating from a C-8 to a C-8 Pro. I’ve made the cloud backup on the C-8 and am trying to restore it to the C-8 Pro. I’ve shut down the C-8 before the restore. The migration ready backup is found on the C-8 Pro and the restore starts. The spinning animation runs and there is a message saying the hub will reboot when finished. The spinning indicating the process is going stops but nothing else ever happens. I have looked at the C-8 Pro and see all of the devices but nothing is showing on the radios. I have tried resetting the radios and a soft reset to start over but keep going through the same loop. Both hubs are part of the beta group and on the latest update. What am I doing wrong? Thanks.
2 Things, make sure BOTH hubs are on the latest platform. When you start the cloud migration on the c8, be sure to shut down the hub, unplug for 1 minute and power back up. When You do the cloud back up make sure both the zigbee and z-wave radio options are checked. Shutdown after.
Then do the restore to the c8 pro. Though after the failures I’d do a factory reset on that one too (make sure it’s still at the latest platform)
Thanks. I will try again later today. I did not check to make sure the radios were checked for the backup. I thought that was the default for cloud backups. Maybe it’s that simple and I missed an obvious step.
Also during the restore it should ask about the radios.
