C-8, C-8 Pro, Philips Hue Hub - Configuration Advice

I Realize there are many posts relating to this subject - but maybe I am 'stuck' not getting clarity.

Currently I have the C-8 with maybe going to 100 devices and the Hue Hub with about 45. C-8 UI is slower than I want so last week purchased the C-8 Pro. {From the 100, or so, Zigbee and Z-Wave Dimmers, Switches, Sensors (T&H, Contacts, Motion, Lux, etc)}.

From what I have gained so far is to:

  1. Put Lan/Cloud on One Hub (Pro) - Hue, Ecowitt, etc.
  2. Put Apps and Rules on One Hub (Pro)
  3. Put Z-wave on One Hub (C-8) - Turn off Z-wave Radio (Pro)
  4. Put Sensors on One Hub (C-8)

    Comments appreciated.

Just migrate everything to the new hub, then see if it’s still slow before you do anything else.

I agree with putting everything on the C8 Pro and see. I have a C8 Pro and have 233 devices connected to it. 96 physical Zigbee devices, 7 physical Z-wave device, and the remaining are virtual devices, matter devices, matter devices from Aqara M2 Hub, and devices brought in from Home Assistant. I have no clue how many rules but there are a lot.

I still have around 1,200,000 memory left and my CPU usage routinely runs below .4 with very few spikes above.

The hub UI is snappy except for a couple things. Clicking on devices takes 2 seconds for them to load. When pairing zigbee devices the prepping network notification sometimes will stay up for 5 to 10 seconds before entering pairing mode. Not always. Sometimes maybe 1 or 2 seconds.

All other hub UI things are virtually instantaneous. All device activations are virtually instantaneous.

I believe the C8 Pro will more than take care of your needs.

OK - No Joy
Split C-8 to handle 3rd party drivers and 'sensors' and WiFi ; No Z-wave
Hue ~43 devices + rooms/zones ~55.
UI Response time too long > 2 sec.
