PPS: found the answer to my last question at Soft Reset | Hubitat Documentation. I'll give that a shot to see if it solves the cloud backup issue.
I note that, even with the cloud subscription, I am not seeing cloud backups on the C-5 hub. the "migration" backup appears, but none of my attempted cloud backups.
I restored a current C-5 backup, but on system boot-up, it hung at "65% loading UPnP". I noted this in another post...I don't believe it has anything to do with UPnP per se but rather a corruption of the dataset that prevents a normal system start.
I tried successively earlier backups until I had exhausted datasets made with the current Hubitat version. I deprecated the C-5 hub to the previous version and tried restoring backups until I found an earlier one that worked. Interestingly, the hub continued to function with an impaired database prior to performing soft resets, but could not produce cloud backups or restore from local backups.
I upgraded the C-5 hub to the current version and used my subscription to make a new cloud backup.
After shutting down the C-5 hub, I launched the C-8 hub and was able to access the new cloud backup.
Migration was successful.
Takeways:
(a) Even though the C-5 hub was showing a "migration" cloud dataset, it was not enumerated at the Hubitat host. Since no cloud backups were completing, these were not visible on the hub.
(b) Using a cloud subscription was helpful in diagnosing the issue. Without it, I would not have known the migration cloud backups were failing, as they did not appear in the hub backup list.
Thank you for your help with this. Sharing in hopes that others experiencing a similar issue might benefit.
