I tried to migrate my Hubitat apps & devices from a C-5 to a C-7 but opted to revert to the original C-5 when I could not find a way to migrate Zigbee devices without "manually migrating" them (essentially setting them up from scratch?). Most posts dated back to 2022, however. Is there a way to do this now that doesn't involve a Hubitat subscription (and does that even help with Zigbee devices)?
Zigbee cannot be seamlessly migrated to a C-7. However, you can do it if you restore the backup and re-pair the devives--so it's not bad as starting over. Your existing Zigbee devices will be matched up with the re-paired ones. I'm not sure where you read that starting completely over is necessary, but that was never the case; Zigbee has always worked this way on any model.
You can do a seamless, automatic migration of Zigbee to a C-8 or C-8 Pro (in the same way you can do Z-Wave). These hubs have new Zigbee hardware that supports the necessary features to enable this kind of migration.

Thanks for the info. When I have a long weekend to re-pair devices, I might take the time. Appreciate your quick reply!
