Having to edit button actions then resave them to get them going. Button rules are all Lutron rules.
Anyone else seeing similar?

And for whatever reason, everything resolved itself seemingly…
Ughhhhhh. Seeing same behavior here, although I am on 2.4.1.157. So far I've discovered it on six of the eight configured actions (two push, two hold, two release) on a single WallMote Quad. Quite frustrating, and not seeing anything in the logs
If you have one of these that isn't working, could you post a screenshot of the Event Subscriptions from the App info page (circle i icon)?
I've since fixed it by following staze's suggestion of editing (without making changes) and saving.
I've checked several of my (working as expected) WallMote Quad button controllers, and none of them have anything under event subscriptions - only text shown is "No event subscriptions are set". Let me know if there is other troubleshooting or diagnostics I can do.
It's not the Button Controller that I want to see, it's the Button Rule that is created for each button. Pick any one of those and show the Event Subscriptions (should be a single one, for the button in question). If you have any that are not working, I'd especially want to see one of those.
sadly, even without manually fixing them all, they seem to have all started working again. I only fixed 2 of the 6 and the other 4 seem to have self resolved over a couple days (possibly another update... it was so long from initial post I honestly cannot remember). =(
I might have found one that's still broken. Single button on one remote.
That one button has NO event subscriptions. The other buttons do.
Broken
So I assume that's the issue is it lost its event subscription?
OK, that's informative. The broken one certainly can't work. You should be able to fix it simply by opening the button rule, and hitting Done With Button Rule.
Yes indeed. How/why that happened I couldn't say. The fact that these clear up on their own is interesting also, though again I don't know what it means. I'll pass this on to one of the engineers. Very odd.
Ah that was unclear. I found another button rule that is not working, and in the same state as staze's. No event subscriptions. I'll keep it in the broken state for now, in case that helps with troubleshooting.
What would help more is if you'd simply open the button rule, and hit the Done... button in the lower right. That should fix its Event Subscription, and verifying that would be helpful.
Can confirm that fixed the event subscription, and importantly, the button now works again. Now at least I know what to look for, I'll see if any others are broken that I didn't test. =)
That's great. Thanks for confirming.
At first, it was just button 1 pressed and held that did not have event subscriptions. Now other don't. I have updated to 2.4.1.163 and am still having the issue on my hub. Simply saving the button controllers does not turn back on the subscriptions, nor does rebooting the hub. Saving the individual button rule does re-enable the subscription. but for how long?
Should be good once this is done.
Oh yeah did that with every button rule lacking a subscription except for one. I'm happy to keep it in a broken state if that helps future troubleshooting, otherwise I'll fix it too. I only press that button about once every few months so it's no big deal either way.
okay. Thanks. I'll just go through and find all my button controllers that aren't listening, and do that.
