Button Control

I have a Zooz Zen32 that has 5 button controls. I accidentally deleted the push button 4 and can't figure out how to add this button back into the same button controller, is there anyway without re-installing the switch?

Do you mean Button Controller? Yes, you should be able to add actions for any button number. Here's a screenshot from the docs:

A screenshot of what you see may be helpful to understand what you mean if this isn't it.

A general note: Button Controller is an app. Apps are generally how you create automations on the hub (when this happens, do that). I can't think of anything you can do in an app that would be so bad as to necessitate removing and re-adding any device you reference in the app. Worst case, you could remove and redo the app, but even here, that shouldn't be necessary.

All of the other buttons have a push button, but I accidentally delete this button instead of the button actions. So how would I add that button back to the same app?

Ok, looks like you're using an older version (not a problem, just a bit different from the above), but the idea is the same. In your case, if you scroll down (it's cut off in your screenshot), you should see an "Add Another Button Action" button.

I don't have that button, only the following.

am I better off using a newer version of the button app and starting over?

Is it listed under "Delete button action"? If so, try that and then re-add.

You can re-create it but shouldn't need to. Just not sure why this isn't showing up for you.

Do you have a backup from before this happened? You could potentially restore a hub backup to recover from this incident.

The only thing you would have to be cautious of is that you would lose anything you did between that backup and now, for example if you added a new device or edited some app you didn't want to lose.

You could take a backup from now, download that (as a precaution) and you could restore from todays date if things don't work out.
