Since the last update, I'm getting a lot of busy messages in the log (C7 Hub) , devices wont turn on or off, routines wont run. I shutdown the hub and unplug for about a minute. That seems to work for awhile but then a couple of hours later the busy messages start again. Very frustrating.
yes. I've tried to remove them but they wont go away.
And now I've got the bust messages again about two hours later. Very frustrating. Because my system was working well before these past 3 firmware upgrades.
Yep we are all in the same boat. Busy messages and an unremovable blank device.
Would caution against anyone who is tempted to try and reset things and start over. I just tried to install a clean C7 hub yesterday (including upgrading HE and firmware before adding devices) and hit a wall after including 8 devices so you might still run into trouble. Note: "8" is probably not the magical # it seems - I suspect the last switch I tried to pair is flaky so may have been the "trigger" for the hub issues.
I'm a new user of HE that came over from ST. Honestly, HE worked great when I transitioned everything over. Yes, some devices were difficult to pair but I got through it. But now its just not working.
Was not able to pair any new devices due to network busy messages. Am going to try again today and see if I can't sneak in a secondary controller after a shutdown/pull plug/start. If I can maybe I can eliminate the ghost. Although all but one of my devices seem to be routing through an A5 device.. which may be a hub thing but kinda strange.
Nope, as I haven't seen that on mine. Not sure if it is just a visual artifact, or something that actually impacts operation. There have been multiple people with A5 in their routes where the devices worked fine, and continued to work fine. So it is hard to tell without having seen it personally.
I suspect the A5 thing is not really a problem. The ghost nodes, however, are (as far as I can tell).
Side note - I had been using an old version of the PC Controller software for years. I upgraded to the latest one yesterday, and it took me a while to figure out how to get around in there. lol
Side note 2 - I also wonder if I paired my UZB7 right. It paired non-secure, and I wonder if I should have paired it differently (secure). It works for what I need it for right now though, so will leave it alone for now. I may play with this next week after my dev C-7 hub gets here.
I rolled back to .119 last night, about 9 hours ago, and all my Zwave devices are still reporting as OK on the Zwave Details page, and my automations and buttons are working, On .132 or .135 Zwave would be dead/locked up after as little as an hour or two.
And my good results w/.119 are w/my annoying ghost device still there.
If you installed it at some point it's already on your hub, as I understand it. I had installed .119, and rolled back via below. I don't know if all versions are there if you skipped one and didn't install it.
