Broken Antenna

I broke one my antennas as I try to move it and didn't realize that the black housing had slid up far enough that it caused the antenna board inside to snap off when I tried to move it. It snapped at the metal L connector. It was foolish probably to do as I have severe nerve damage in my left hand and muscle atrophy but I I try not to let such things get in my way to do things.

I searched and saw antennas that I could purchase but all of them look like they haven't received real certification as to their quality and or usage. I submitted a warranty ticket and a message to support in hopes that they will replace it.

I know for a close replacement it should be approximately 1 to 2 DBI else I understand it starts being a little bit more directional than omnidirectional. It's Dual frequency according to the picture I found telling the specs of it.

I don't suppose anyone who has upgraded their antennas may have one for the c8 they might be willing to part with? I'm still waiting for a response from warranty. I'm hoping they will replace it but we shall see. Meanwhile one of my antennas is down.

We can sell you replacement antennas for the cost of shipping (about $10 in US). Please contact orders@hubitat.com. We certainly recommend using factory antennas, not ones purchased online. We always ship two, so you'd be covered for another loss.
