Brand new user able to reuse att digital life yale lock

Hello, I hope this helps someone save some money like I did!
I had an att digital life system years ago and still have the yale real living lock that I bought with the system.
I could still use the codes but no remote access. With my new HE hub I gained full control remote and alexa integration again!

here are the steps
you have to unpair the zwave module first
start HE exclude z wave device
then un pair

To unpair your Yale lock y need to first Unpair it. Do this by unpairing on the lock itself.
Begin with the device locked. If needed for touchscreen models, place your palm on the screen to wake it up
Enter the 4-to-8-digit Master PIN code followed by the # or gear key
Press 7 followed by the # or gear key
Press 3 followed by the # or gear key

it will say exiting network

Then put it in pairing mode:
Begin with the device locked. If needed for touchscreen models, place your palm on the screen to wake it up
Enter the 4-to-8-digit Master PIN code followed by the # or gear key
Press 7 followed by the # or gear key
Press 1 followed by the # or gear key

start z wave pairing
it will add and you will have full functionality to add and delete codes
you will have to change the master and code 1 at the lock however I think

Welcome to the community!
Good you got it working.
Love that Yale lets you swap out the modules if you decide you want to switch to ZigBee later on.

Yep they except for the model I have lol. They don't make any modules for them anymore.
So I was going to have to buy another lock if I couldn't get it running. Luckily the 150 on the hub is cheaper than the 250 it would have cost me for the hb and a new lock

Bringing back an old thread, but want to make sure I am reading this properly.

I have a new home with a couple of Yale locks that have a Control4 Zigbee module. I want to swap it to Z-Wave. It sounds like your experience is that the AT&T Z-wave modules will work with Hubitat -- is that correct?

Thanks!

They should, if they fit your lock.
Their are two types of Yale Z-Wave modules (Not sure about AT&T branded).
The older Real Living translucent versions and the new Assure versions with solid colours.
As long as your replacement is the same version as your existing, it should be fine.
