Bounty to develop Salus device

I have a house with water heated floors controlled by Salus KL08NSB, UGE600 (hub), and iT600 in 12 rooms. All Zigbee.

I would love to get these into HE so I can automate and create rules. This now more or less the only thing I don’t have connected to my smart house.

Are there any capable HE developers out there who would do this for a “handsome fee”?

I don’t know what such a job should cost, but I can hope somewhere in the range USD 600-800? - With the cost of whatever equipment you have to buy coming on top.

Just looking at the Salus stuff online...

Many of those individual devices may work with generic zigbee drivers, even the thermostats. However, I assume they are now all paired to the Salos system, and you would not want to take all the Zigbee components out of the system individually.

It all looks pretty bound to their cloud app in the end, so maybe you are just looking for an integration that uses your account, and the cloud, to control things, assuming they have APIs available.

Have you tried just pairing one to Hubitat?

Unfortunately, they have some kind of proprietary pairing mechanism, so there is no way (that I have found) to even try to pair with Hubitat.

Yes, so I have thought (hoped) that there is some way to connect to the hub (UGE600) directly as it has a local mode that works without the cloud.

Their hardware is very good, and they seem to have a decent market in Europe, so it is a shame that they don't seem to be very interested in playing with a wider smart home ecosystem.

Your best bet would be to get it integrated to home assistant then bring it over to Hubitat. GitHub - epoplavskis/homeassistant_salus: Home Assistant integration with Salus devices

Many of us do that for lan/cloud devices

Or someone could probably use the info from the HA integration to make one for Hubitat but then it also needs to be maintained if anything changes.
