Bond devices not showing up in device list

c8-pro 2.4.4.156

Bond bridge has 2 identical fans on it. They do not show up under devices. If I open the Bond device and then select a child device for one of the fans, then both fans will now show up when I hit the device list. If I hit the device list again, both fans are gone. Is this how it it supposed to work? I would think the child devices would always show up under the device list.

I think we need some screenshots to see what you’re talking about.
Are you talking about the list of children “collapsing”?

Vs

This is normal.

What does “hit” in your vocabulary mean?

An expanded parent-child/children device re-collapses to show parent only every time the Devices page is refreshed -- is that what you're referring too?

I wish it wouldn't do that (I'd prefer an expanded view be sticky, like the Apps page), but it is what it is.

As in my first image?

Is it really an issue?

I don't go into devices that often, I use dashboards for manual control if needed, but most things are automated so I don't even do that very often. I have no issue with expanding the list to see the children, it's just one click.

But they aren't ever "gone" - they are simply collapsed.

You just just need to click on the respective parent device entry to expand its children. True for my Bond stuff, my Zen17s, Home Asst Device Bridge, etc

ETA - @gopher.ny -- Victor, this may not be your wheelhouse, but has there ever been any consideration to making expanded (parent/child) Device page entries sticky (similar to how the Apps page handles it)?
