Bond Bridge ceiling fan in homekit

True newb here. using homekit. Have Hubitat c8 with homekit integration and bond bridge installed. Fan shows and works in homekit but instead of the off, speed 1,2,3 controls as shown on original remote and bond app home kit shows as a dimmer 0-100 in increments of 1. Can that be changed?

I guess this was a dumb or overly complicated question

I haven’t really tried out the built-in HomeKit integration yet, but there should be an option to adjust what type of device the Home app thinks it’s seeing (i.e. change from a dimmer to a fan).

Take a look at this hub documentation article on the HomeKit integration, scroll down to the “advanced options” section and look at the instructions under “show accessory classes and characteristics.”

Does that do it?

I have my fan shared via the Homebridge plugin, I just went to check and looks like iOS 17 made some upgrades. It still looks like a dimmer but has a fan icon and the bar is blue, it also snaps to 33, 66 and 99 % for my 3 speed fan. I think thats the best you can get in Homekit.
Prior to this I remember it working just like a dimmer and it still worked, the driver would adjust to the correct % after sliding the dimmer bar.

So, are you on iOS 17?

yes, IOS 17, the snap would make me feel a little better but I have the infinite adjustment in 1% increments

don't see the article. Theres really nothing selectasble on the homekit integation app page

Sorry link didn’t attach, it’s here:
