I have been using the Bond App in Hubitat for years and it has worked great. I recently made some network changes and the Bond device now has a new IP address. There doesn't seem to be a way to update the IP address of the bond device in the app to acknowledge the new device IP. Is there something I am missing? Is there a place that I can go to update the IP in Hubitat?
Did you go in the Bond app in Hubitat and hit "refresh" to find the devices?
Yes, but since the device is already in the system I think that it won't find it, because it already saw it. Unfortunately that means that there doesn't seem to be a way to update the IP. And since it is linked to apps I don't want to delete it all and start over.
I switched to a NON Hubitat Package Manager APP/Driver and it gives you the ability to change IP adresses.
Interesting. Thanks for sharing. I guess I will have to try that. Disappointing that they are not the same app/drivers.
Also this other driver allows for some extra settings as well and each device is a device as opposed to a child device (I think).
Thank you for your time and thoughts.
Reserve a static IP address for your Bond on your router. Should be the same way you did for the hub.
