Bluetooth integration issues

I’ve been using the Bluetooth integration to use Shelly Blu buttons in beacon mode as arrival sensors to replace my old failing SmartThings arrival sensors. When they work they work not too bad however I’m finding that the radios lock up and stop detecting beacon events after a period of time.. usually when both sensors are out of range and there isn’t any broadcasting going on.

To fix the hub requires a full power cycle to bring to radios back. A soft reboot doesn’t work (neither does restarting the integration app).

I currently have a rule running to run that if it detects my phones connected to my Unifi network and but doesn’t detect beacon events it power cycles the Poe port my hub is connected to. While this fixes the issue I don’t like the idea of regularly power cycling my hub.

Now this only seems to be happening after the last update that updated the Bluetooth stack. Before this update everything ran much more stable.

Just jumping on to say that I'm having the same problem with a Shelly Blu Humidity & Temperature display. I have it sitting on a shelf and it never moves. There's no way in the driver to refresh or configure the device. Removing the device and re-adding it does not help. Restarting the Bluetooth integration does not help. Removing both the device and the Bluetooth integration and then re-adding both does not help. When I recreate the device it comes in with the previous last values and the last set of events. A soft reboot doesn't work. The only thing that works is to do a full power cycle. And then it will be fine... until it's not.

RSSI bounces around between -60 and -84, with most values in the -60 to -68 range. It doesn't seem to be consistent with when it drops off.

I've been ignoring this device a bit because I don't have any rules that use it. I would like to use it, but not while it's so unreliable.

Are you powering your hub via USB-C power adapter or with a POE splitter?

USB-C. It's a C-8 Pro.

Ahh ok. I’m using a POE to USB-C splitter and wanted to make sure that wasn’t causing the issue due to some kind of weird power delivery issue.

I ended up buying a few Shelly Plug US and have been using those as Bluetooth gateways for my Blu 1 buttons. They’ve 100% solved my issues.
