Thank you for the recommendation! I just migrated from SmartThings to Hubitat and it is working so much better than ST, that I want to expand my uses to include my in-garage fridge and freezers. Your recommendation is right on the money!
I've used one with the remote probe for my garage freezer for two years. I'm going to try tossing one of the non probe ones in the mini fridge and wine cooler. Easy to setup and track on a dashboard. Hubitat notification alerts to my phone for the garage freezer.
Could you tell me the model you use ? I'd like to find a good one, I have the GW2000B hub.
And do you use lithium batteries or alkaline ?
I use the WN31 (link below). You can have up to 8 of these paired to a single ecowitt gateway.
I've had them for over 5 years now in my two freezers. With alkaline batteries. Batteries last over 2 years.

Thank you my friend, I'll try them.
Over 2 years in fridge now, WN31 sensor on two AA alkaline battery's and still running strong.
I have a couple Visonic MCT-340 door/window sensors that I tossed in my freezer and they are working fine. Driver lets you set an offset to “calibrate” them.
I’m using Third Reality temp/humidity sensors in 2 of our fridges. I’m pretty sure the batteries are aaa. I’ve been using them for about a year and the batteries are still at 100%.
