Hi, this is all very new to me, coming from a Vera. In the process of trying to switch things over.
I have an old Remotec Z110 thermostat, the Generic driver mostly works ok, but not sure how to send
some commands to it.
ie: temp offset and temp update.
My main problem is what would be the best way to send thermostat temp commands to Alexa. There was a Vera plugin that worked for that.
Can you link a temp setting to a Virtual button or similar ? Have tried a couple of things but have an awful lot to learn, any help would be great ,thanks
If you're not getting full control of the thermostat, you might look at what's involved in porting this ST driver or similar.
Then once everything is fully controllable, look what can be done to get control via Alexa.
Did you ever get yours to work completely? I have the same thermostat and just purchased the Hubitat and those were the only devices I have that I haven’t seen much about in these forums.
Never got it to work the way I wanted it to.
I have just left it on the Vera, the only thing left, it just runs the thermostat now with Alexa.
Works well that way, for me anyway.
