Best Driver For ZEN34?

I've been running Zoos's ZEN34 Advanced Driver, circa 2021.
I see that @bertabcd1234 put out a driver in 2023.
Haven't looked at versions, yet.

What prompted me to look at this was I was wondering if the 10 "buttons" could be accessible without going the Custom Attributes route.

Thanks.

Actually, 7/29/21 seems to be the latest @bertabcd1234 driver:

And....just tried it: It Works!

10 buttons available on Simple Automation!
Will make things easier, in my opinion.

Thanks @bertabcd1234

PS: Do you think any updates would be needed since 2021? I'm running the LR version-not sure if that would make a difference. Seems to work!

edit: Working great with Rule Machine as well!
Thanks much!

I don't think the LR version changed anything functionality-wise according to their changelog. This is still the driver I'm using, though I don't remember if I have any of the new ones...

No reason to update something that works as intended.

Let me run this by you, if I may:

I have a ZEN34 that operates a gate.
I also use several ZEN73 toggle switches to operate the gate.

The driver for the ZEN73 that @jtp10181 wrote has the capability to SetParameters in Custom Command.

I have the toggle's led turn on when the gate is open-it's proved helpful.

Apparently, the ZEN34's multi-color led can also be similarly manipulated through parameters.

Now, I have no idea how much of a drain having the led would have on the 2 CR2032 batteries in the ZEN34, but this would be an exception rather than a rule, since the gate shouldn't be open for too long because of the deer's propensity to wander in and eat all the decorative vegetation, lol.

I also use parameter manipulation for other purposes on ZEN73's and have also done it on GE/Jasco's. I believe others have as well.

What do you think? Practical or Not? If so, would you consider making the driver changes?

Thanks.

Problem is since its a battery device it wont normally be awake to take commands, so you would have to wake it up to change the LED color.

Thanks. I keep forgetting about that.
