So after maybe 2 years I have to replace the batteries in some of my iris v2 Motion sensors if I’m correct there is a specific procedure to do this I’m only asking because when I pulled the battery on 1 of them and replaced I got the non stop color light show then I remember there is a specific process to change them so that that doesn’t happen can anyone remember?
Usually that does not happen but when it does put the hub in zigbee pairing mode while it's flashing and it should connect back to the correct object, if it doesn't connect you may need to hold the reset switch while putting the battery back in so it will re-pair. Zigbee devices will reconnect to their existing device automatically so you don't need to worry about fixing rules that use them when that happens. With contact sensors that will sometimes happen just because the sensor was closed when putting the battery in so opening the contact before replacing the battery should minimize that.
Ok thx Terk I’ll give that a go
