Wow, I would never have found that. Other apps where that has been introduced have left it more easily accessible, odd choice to move it to the "settings" page...

You can find it in other apps as well.
We moved the functionality into core hub, out of the few parent apps that had it. Where else would it go? It is context sensitive to each app. Check it out, try it for a parent app, then try it for one of the child apps. Import is not context dependent, hence, in Settings as well as there for each app.

Ah yes, I remember reading about that now, making it a much more widely available option. Completely understand why it should sit there now.
