So I'm looking to automate some of my google home features like turning off my tv that's connected to a Chromecast. I want to figure out how to automate a voice command like turn off the TV's but with a button like an aqara button.
Any help?
Difficult to do that with google. With alexa you can create a virtual button for echo to monitor and trip a routine.
could I get a single echo, and have it communicate to turn off a chromecast? My main problem is I want to automate my Aqara button to turn off all the tvs in the house when I go to sleep by long pressing the button.
Google doesn't monitor virtual buttons. It can turn them in but the status can't be used to control a Chromecast device like you can with an echo. With echo you can use a switch to set an alexa skill.
